There is great opposition when you are about God's love. There is an enemy against His love and there is a battle going on for your life. That is why we are given the armor of God to be equipped and ready for every battle we face. This Sunday, Pastor Josh Kelsey preached on Ephesians 6 and the armor of God we have been given. Grace doesn’t mean that we now live as we choose. Tithing is not a payment to God, it’s honoring God with your wealth. It’s recognizing Him as the source of everything you have. This past Sunday, Pastor Emmanuel Hastings spoke on the grace of giving as we build and are generous with our finances. God’s grace doesn’t empower us to live selfishly. His grace covers us when we fall short, but it empowers us to live for other people.
We cannot disconnect living on mission from generosity. Our giving flows out of our lives being on mission for Christ.
